Ever since I got my Q1b, I’ve looked at the web differently. I mean in 800×480, 800×600, and 1024×600 resolutions. This has changed the way that I consider designing a site. I hadn’t given much thought to resolution, but now I think that I need to take more time in my designs to allow for different browser resolutions, and to create the ability to scale content to fit in different browser sizes. Most of us will agree that a horizontal scroll bar is bad. I know that i’ve said that a change was in the works regarding to the design of this site, however I think that I will go back to the drawing board a bit on this design.
I’ve armed myself with CSS Mastery: Advanced Web Standards Solutions, by Andy Budd, Simon Collison, and Cameron Moll, and set the deadline of this redesign to be January 1st 2007. I think that will give me ample time to design and test. Also it will give a nice new look to start off 2007.
